Lord our God, you create and sustain us.  You are with us in the rhythm of work and rest, in the pattern of praise and silence, in the balance of silent prayer and spoken word, and in the spontaneity of friendship and love.  You are with us all our days.  Make us aware of your presence now, as we crown life with worship.  In the name of Jesus, whose renewing love we celebrate this day.  Amen.

Could you help?  We are starting a STARFISH outreach project based at St Andrew’s in September – for people who are lonely, have problems or just need to see a friendly face and listening ear.   The next preparation meeting is on Thursday 24th July at 2.00 p.m. at St Andrews

We wish Rev David Goodwin and Kay Howcroft every happiness on the occasion of their wedding service next Saturday.

Please contact Kay Green (tel. 63513) for any concerns for pastoral support for Central.  Or Rev Brian White (tel. 250123) for any urgent concerns.

PLEASE NOTE  We ask that people do not  go into the Playgroup Room – the items are the property of the Playgroup.  When the leaders came in last Monday they found sand all over the floor, and other items in the wrong place.  Thank you.

Could you help?  We are starting a STARFISH outreach project at St Andrew’s in September.   Pray that there will be enough helpers of all denominations and that God will inspire them and open their hearts to see the need.

If anyone would be available/like to help, about once every three months, to help serve refreshments on a Saturday please see Ann.

Recently we have had problems with the Toilets.  It would appear that inappropriate absorbent items have been flushed down the toilets, especially the Ladies.  This has had to be cleared at considerable expense.  We ask that only toilet paper be flushed down the toilets.

Would you like to know about Gift Aiding your Church offerings? – It won’t cost you anything!!, but it will enable the church to reclaim the income tax that you have already paid.  Please see Mr Michael J Green or Miss Elizabeth Williams for more details.   Also if you would like to set up a Standing Order for your giving please see Michael.

Did you know that if you change your home and contents insurance to Methodist Insurance they'll give 20% of the first year's premium (or minimum £20, whichever is the greater amount) to Central (or your chosen charity)?  For further information please contact Mr Michael J Green

We now have the facility to e-mail a copy of our notices to you.  If you would like to receive your notices this way please see John Smith and let him know your e-mail address.

Please let Joan Jenkinson know of any special Birthdays or Anniversaries, or if anyone is ill, so that she may send a card on behalf of our church family.

Large Print Hymnbooks/sheets and notices are available – please ask the stewards.  An Induction Loop system is installed for the benefit of those using a hearing aid.

The Hot water boiler in the Lower Kitchen should be left SWITCHED ON at all times.  It is on a thermostat, and was installed with the intention that boiling water would always be available.

Room Bookings  Would people please confirm with Margaret Wright any bookings, both for church and from outside groups, before agreeing to anything.  Our rooms are used every day and every evening, so anything extra needs to be agreed, as sometimes room changes have to take place.  Thank you.

Tables: Would people please put the tables and chairs away in the Lower Schoolroom after coffee on a Sunday morning, so that the room is clear and ready for use on a Monday morning.  Thank-you.

Also, if you have used any tea-towels will you please take them home to wash, and return them the next week.  This keeps the kitchen clean and tidy for the next user.

Please continue to save the used postage stamps you receive, and bring them along to put in the envelope on the notice board.  They go to help support the work of St Giles Hospice.

Please Note: The compiler of the notices apologies for any omissions from the notices, but if she isn’t informed of events/meetings that are planned or have been changed, they will not be included.  Please let her have them by Friday lunchtime tel. 310606.
